Filters

What are filters?

Filters are responsible for access analysis parameters.
Based on the filters you choose, Cloakup analyzes each access and determines whether the access should be accepted or denied.

Filtering modes

Next to some filters you can see a blue button, you can choose between:

Allow: Only allow visitors who meet this condition
Block: Block visitors who meet this condition.

Example:

• Geolocation in ALLOW mode, will allow all selected locations and block the rest.
• Geolocation in BLOCK mode, will block all selected locations and accept the rest.

Block always

Reference

(not recommended for Facebook, Instagram and Kwai)

It is the website where the access is coming from, for example, when you advertise on Facebook or Instagram, the reference will come from facebook.com or instagram.com. If someone accesses your website directly, without having come via your ad, the reference will be empty.

In this filter, you can enable the option to block empty references. If access does not have a reference, it will be denied.

• You want to block access that did not come from your ad. (For Facebook it is not so recommended, as it does not send a reference every time you access it, but for other platforms it is recommended).

Domain (JS)

Filter your domains, which will be enabled to access the campaign. We recommend that you use this filter when integrating via JS, so that only your domains can access the campaign.

• You are using javascript integration and want to allow only your domains to use the integration script.

URL parameters are information that is passed to the server via the URL.

Example: https://www.cloakup.com.br/?utm_source=facebook

In this example, the URL parameter is utm_source=facebook

You can use this filter to block or allow access that has certain
URL parameters.

The URL parameter comes with 2 settings:

All: All parameters you enter must be exactly the same as the access URL parameters.
Some: Some of the parameters you enter must be exactly the same as the access URL parameters, for example, if you have 2 Facebook campaigns for the same cloaker campaign, but have 2 different settings, you can enter 2 different URL parameters, and Cloakup will check if the URL parameters are the same as either of them.
