How to migrate my domain

Tutorial: Subdomain Migration to the New CNAME

This guide explains how to migrate your subdomain from the old CNAME ( domains.cloakup.me) to the new one: cname.cloakup-dns.com.

*

📝 Prerequisites

• Access to your DNS provider's panel (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Hostinger).

*

🛠️ Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access the DNS Provider Panel

• Log into your DNS provider account.
• Navigate to the DNS records management section of your domain.

*

2. Locate the Old CNAME Record

• Look for the existing CNAME record with the value domains.cloakup.me.

*

3. Update the CNAME Record

Edit the old record or create a new one with the following value: cname.cloakup-dns.com.

Notes:

If 86400 (24 hours) is not available, select the highest possible TTL.
Propagation may take up to 4 hours.

*

4. Click "Migrate"

• After updating the CNAME, return to the Cloakup platform.
• Click the "**Migrate**" button to confirm the change.

*

5. Click "Verify" Domain Again

After clicking "Migrate," you will need to click "Verify" to complete the setup.

*

6. Verify the Migration

Wait for full propagation.
Use tools like DNS Checker to confirm if the new CNAME is active.

*

❌ Troubleshooting

Issue: Migration not completed after 4 hours.
Solution:

Verify that the CNAME was correctly saved in the DNS.
Clear your browser cache or test on a different network.
Contact your DNS provider's support if necessary.

*

✅ Done! Your subdomain is now linked to the new CNAME.
